A Tumour and Liver Automatic Segmentation (ATLAS) Dataset on Contrast-Enhanced Magnetic Resonance Imaging for Hepatocellular Carcinoma

چکیده
Liver cancer is the sixth most common in world and fourth leading cause of mortality. In unresectable liver cancers, especially hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC), transarterial radioembolisation (TARE) can be considered for treatment. TARE treatment involves a contrast-enhanced magnetic resonance imaging (CE-MRI) exam performed beforehand to delineate tumour(s) order perform dosimetry calculation. Due significant amount time expertise required delineation process, there strong need automation. Unfortunately, lack publicly available CE-MRI datasets with tumour annotations has hindered development fully automatic solutions segmentation. The “Tumour Automatic Segmentation” (ATLAS) dataset that we present consists 90 liver-focused covering entire patients HCC, along segmentation masks. To best our knowledge, ATLAS first public providing HCC annotations. availability this should greatly facilitate automated tools designed optimise which essential planning patients.

contrast enhanced magnetic resonance imaging in sacroiliitis
conclusion fs t2 w and ce fs t1 w sequences of axial planes were the most useful sequences in determination of active sacroiliitis. therefore, in patients with renal failure or allergy to contrast media, fs t2 wi can be obtained to detect active sacroiliitis. objectives the aim of this retrospective study was to assess the value of different magnetic resonance imaging (mri) sequences in evaluat...
متن کاملAutomatic Segmentation of Left Atrial Geometry from Contrast-Enhanced Magnetic Resonance Images Using a Probabilistic Atlas
Left atrium segmentation and the extraction of its geometry remains a challenging problem despite of existing approaches. It is a clinically-relevant important problem with an increasing interest as more research into the mechanism of atrial fibrillation and its recurrence process is undertaken. Contrast-Enhanced (CE) Magnetic Resonance Angiography (MRA) produces excellent images for extracting...
متن کاملSegmentation of Magnetic Resonance Brain Imaging Based on Graph Theory
Introduction: Segmentation of brain images especially from magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) is an essential requirement in medical imaging since the tissues, edges, and boundaries between them are ambiguous and difficult to detect, due to the proximity of the brightness levels of the images. Material and Methods: In this paper, the graph-base...
متن کاملContrast enhanced ultrasound and magnetic resonance imaging in hepatocellular carcinoma diagnosis.
BACKGROUND The new developments in imaging technology, including contrast enhanced ultrasound (CEUS), computed tomography (CT), and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), allow a better diagnosis of both malignant and benign liver lesions. MATERIAL AND METHODS A retrospective trial of 126 patients was conducted in the Gastroenterology and Imaging Departments of the University of Medicine and Pharm...
